Obviously, blood is vital for our existence and even more vital to provide others in need. I overcame my fear of needles last year when I donated during a school sponsored blood drive. After the first time, I was so excited to do it again that I promised to do donate at least twice a year. The second time, I fainted just after finishing the process and making my way out the door. Could that stop me from helping others? I don’t think so. I donated again at the earliest my body was able to donate blood (three months). My goal is to at least donate on a yearly basis and hopefully aid the Red Cross in the future to continue their efforts.
